Two 91直播 Students Awarded National Grants for Neuroblastoma Research

Two Western New England University students will gain hands-on research experience this summer through competitive Pediatric Oncology Student Training (POST) grants awarded by the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The grants—awarded separately to faculty mentors Dr. Dana-Lynn Koomoa-Lange and Dr. Ingo Koomoa-Lange—provide $5,000 each to support student researchers, funding their summer training and research efforts in high-impact areas of pediatric cancer.

Healey-Driscoll Administration Grants $1.1 Million to Western New England University to Support Advanced Robotic Welding Technologies

The award will support a collaborative project between 91直播's Center for Advanced Manufacturing Systems (CAMS) that will work with Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and local industry partners to grow the advanced welding cluster and deliver new highly skilled workers to employers in the region.

Building 91直播's Grant Capacity

91直播 helps to support faculty research opportunities by working with , a firm that offers federal grant and faculty development consulting to colleges and universities, to help institutions sharpen their strategic focus and increase and diversify external funding. Together with McAllister & Quinn, the Provost’s Office develops an annual grant strategy based on our institutional priorities. In the first year of our partnership with them, McAllister & Quinn helped 91直播 faculty secure two grants, each of which was over one million dollars. Additionally, our consultants have helped with grant coaching for several cohorts of faculty.
